PBS Constructions On the Rise

This month, Pacific Building Solutions team are happy with all their construction team.

Why? Well word from the company is that the development at Uduya Point Apartments is progressing well. It will have the roof on in a matter of weeks. Some of the highlights of other projects by the country’s biggest builders:Carpenters Properties Suva Foreshore development: Well the Carpenters Properties Limited foreshore development is going according to plan. PBS anticipate labour transfer to this project as they also begin works on the six storey structure that will attach to the first one i.e. the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel. Hilton Garden Inn Suva is scheduled to open by the second quarter of 2020, with Hilton Suva to follow two years later. More on this in future updates.

US Embassy Warehouse Lookback Contract: The project now has over 30 staff. Work on the waste water treatment plant has begun whilst the fencing and civil works continue. Close to completion on site are the five structures that will be the temporary facility that houses the Client Office, the Arkel Office (Main Contractor), and PBS office as the main sub-contractor. All the structures have got the roof on with services work currently in progress. Vanuabalavu TC Winston Rehabilitation: The defects period has officially ended this month, which brings this project to an official close. Nanuku Auberge Resort Villas: Villa keys are continuously being handed over, with completion of this project expected by the end of this month. A small team will then remain to take care of any defects.

LDS College Dormitories, Tamavua: Concrete Solutions is seeing some significant growth with a total of 350 employees spread over a total of 6 major projects and 30 other small ones. It is looking after Latter Day Saints (LDS) College Dormitories, Tamavua. The workforce on site has reached 60 which includes all sub-contractors. The female dormitory has footings complete and work will begin on block wall within three weeks. The block wall for the middle structure dormitory is continuing. Tamavua Estates Townhouses: 95 per cent of the civil works is complete. They now have their building permit and the storm water diversion is complete. Footings have been poured and they are now working towards prep slab for concrete pouring in a week.
