Fiji School Of Nursing Receives A Facelift

The Fiji School of Nursing has been educating people since 1893 and some of their buildings unfortunately look their age. As part of the ongoing effort to build and maintain educational institutions, the Fiji School of Medicine contracted with Pacific Building Solutions to refurbish part of their student nurse quarters.

The much needed refurbishment is part of a long‐term refurbishment planned for the institution and using quality contractors will ensure the work is completed on time and at a high standard.

The scope of works included new flooring, wall linings, painting and upgrades to
sanitary ware and fixtures and general clean up of exterior lining, walkways, rooves and
balconies. “We are honoured to continue to work with institutions like the Fiji School of Medicine and Ministry for Health on projects that will improve the teaching and living standards for our future health care professionals,” said Michael Fairfax, managing director of Pacific Building Solutions.

Pacific Building Solutions is one of Fiji’s leading construction companies and recently completed the Pacific Eye Institute in Brown Street, Suva. This is where Dr. Berlin Kafoa, Team Leader of Projects for the Fiji School of Medicine, saw first hand the quality of work achieved by the Suva based construction company and wasted no time in engaging them to begin works on the Pink Building at the Fiji School of Medicine.
