Country’s Biggest Builder Updates On Works
Pacific Building Solutions a multi-discipline construction company based in Suva, is the country’s largest. Here’s is their updates as 2019 begins. One of the most iconic images to come out of the devastation of TC Winston in Vanuabalavu, was taken by a UNICEF Photographer 2 weeks after the cyclone hit. From October 2016 up to March last year, we toiled hard to rebuild in Vanuabalavu. Defects rectification work on Vanuabalavu is ongoing. We expect completion by March, 2019.
Uduya Point Apartments: Since commencement mid-2018, UPA is approximately at 35 per cent with all floor slabs completed and building now at second floor. Block work on the second floor at 50 per cent.
Nanuku: The first 5 Nanuku Beach Front Villas are being handed over within the next week! We expect the remaining Villas will be fully handed over by late February.
Carpenters Properties Limited Suva Foreshore Hotel Development: Building 1 – all structural work are complete and roofing works expected to be completed within two weeks. Building 2 – foundation at 90 per cent completion, we expect this at 100 per cent within the next two weeks.
Other PBS Projects: US Embassy: 25 local workers onsite with service contractors currently working on fencing and temporary facilities contracts as well as civil works. The fencing contract is expected to be completed within the next two weeks while temporary facilities will continue for another 2 and a half months. Civil works progress heavily depend on the weather and the project management team are continuously working to secure more work from our client.
ANZ: We have been commissioned by ANZ Bank under a Handyman Contract for several of their properties. This team is being led by John blake, our Small Works Manager with a small steam who will carry out repairs and maintenance works at these properties around Fiji.
