Bid to keep staff members updated
ONE of the largest construction companies in the country believes strongly in the safety of its staff members and carried out a internal training program for all its team leaders in all of its construction projects recently. Pacifi c Building Solutions managing director Michael Fairfax said the company was at the forefront of construction and thus their alignment and eventual certifi cation for this new ISO 45001 was critical for future projects. “It is also vital to keep our workers informed of upcoming work and the general direction of the company.
This will give them confi dence in working hard and thus allows for maximum productivity,” he said. A statement from the company said team leaders went through introductory training on the new International Standard for Organization 45001 for Occupational Health & Safety. The new standard was aimed at team leaders and was very process focused. The training was carried out by the PBS Group Occupational Health & Safety manager Julian Daveta.
