Little Polynesian Resort
Cook Islands

Everything you need for the premium Polynesian experience you can imagine. In the heart of Cook Islands, the Little Polynesian signifies a humble, intimate, luxurious and yet remarkably friendly environment to warm your heart and recharge your soul.

The entire resort was traditionally styled with a design flare that has superseded much of the typically accepted architecture in the Cook Islands.

PBS completed 10 luxury beachside bures and 4 garden bungalows with decks and courtyards along with a central facility building, swimming pool, custom–made furniture and reception area within a seven-month timeframe.

Laucala Island Resort
Fiji

Built to accommodate 100 guests and 400 staff, Laucala’s 25 Villas are all stylish versions of traditional Fijian dwellings. Seamless transition from indoor to outdoor living creates an inspiringly relaxed yet luxurious atmosphere. A collection of dining options compliments the exotic and elegant settings amid coconut palms, sandy beaches, rich green mountains, lagoon style pools and scenic views. A gym and spa facility only rivaled by few, wedding chapel, cultural village, staff quarters, back of house, administration facilities and off-island staff accommodation on Onodere Island.

As main contractor for this unparalleled lavish and private 7 Star island paradise, PBS required staffing 1500+ employees, 160 Subcontractors from Indonesia, China and other Pacific Islands functioning in multiple work fronts and major logistical challenges of building on outer islands in Fiji. Truly something special, Laucala Island Resort is an exclusive almost entirely self-sufficient private tropical hideaway – beautifully designed and incredibly tasteful.

Pacific Eye Institute
Fiji

PBS was awarded the design-build contract for the country’s and indeed the region’s first Pacific Eye Institute.

The facility houses a fully-equipped eye clinic, two-controlled air-procedure rooms (a new concept in the country), classrooms for post-graduate students specialising in eye health and a resource centre. The building serves as a testament to the management, success and efficiency of PBS as it was completed a full 2 months ahead of schedule. It also displays some of the latest building techniques employed by PBS including pre-cast, polished concrete for a unique and elegant façade, local hardwood carving accents and a special, weather-resistant glazing for the exterior of the building. PBS has since been inundated with requests for upgrades to many outdated medical facilities around the country as a result of the ultramodern Pacific Eye Institute facility.

Likuliku Lagoon Resort
Fiji

From the air, Likuliku Lagoon Resort looks like an idyllic ancient village, thatched roofs and an exotic mix of natural and traditional materials and architecture. But these are no ordinary Fijian Bures, the first and only overwater bures in Fiji, Likuliku is far more deluxe than a traditional hut.

At 646 sq. ft. each of the 10 overwater bures has a spacious bedroom area and a pavilion bathroom half the size looking straight out into paradise. Your own private terrace with steps into the sea and of course your own glass floor window that allows you to see the waters and watch marine life at night. Subtle luxury and a view to beat!

Contracted for the overwater bures, walkways and the “Masima” arrival pavilion in 2007, PBS returned to Likuliku in 2013 to commence repairs including over 20 land bures as a result of Cyclone Evan in 2012.

Laucala Island Resort – Repairs & Maintenance and Thatching Post TC Winston
FIJI

Fiji’s premier private island retreat reopened its doors July 1, 2016 following the forced closure as a result of Category 5 Tropical Cyclone Winston that devastated the Fiji Group in February.
