Holiday Inn Set For Upgrade
RENOVATIONS at the Holiday Inn in Suva will be carried out in stages with the hotel remaining fully operational during this period, says FNPF Hotel Resorts Ltd — a subsidiary company of the Fiji National Provident Fund.
The upgrade on the hotel managed by the InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) under its Holiday Inn brand, which was being carried out by Pacific Building Solutions, would start with the north wing.
FNPF chief investment officer Jaoji Koroi said hotel guests would experience minimal disruption during the renovation period as work would take place from Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm.
“The ensuite upgrade for the rooms will guarantee a heightened guest room experience. The new look hotel will also provide patrons with a fresh new pool deck, enabling guests to relax in their home away from home and be marvelled by the sunset over the Suva Harbour,” he said in a statement.
Holiday Inn Suva general manager Preston Miskelly said the Holiday Inn brand was renowned for making guests feel comfortable.
He said Holiday Inn Suva had been part of the Capital City’s business community since March 2001.
“We are excited we have the privilege of unveiling these new products for our loyal guests. Since Holiday Inn’s arrival in Suva’s hotel market, we have been renowned for our great service, friendly staff and delivering the ‘home away from home’ experience for our corporate travellers.”
Mr Miskelly said they were looking forward to being able to make debut the first set of rooms with their fresh new look later in the year.
He said this would help cement Holiday Inn Suva as the preferred choice for locals and visitors to Suva for many years to come.
